In Process

Everyone has a dream, but not everyone lives in a destiny. David was a shepherd in a field when the prophet Samuel anointed him as king (DREAM) but he was around 30 when he actually became king (DESTINY). All of that time in-between he was IN PROCESS. Abraham was told he’d be the father of many nations (DREAM) but it wasn’t for another 25 years he’d have even one son (DESTINY) because during that time he was IN PROCESS. The seasons where we start out in anything is marked by two things; transition and process. It’s at this time where life demands you master the art of holding these two tensions well; one of transition - whether graduating Uni, beginning a new relationship or starting a career - you’re full of dreams. The other, where you’re not yet living in the fullness of that dream because you’re in process. A dream is destiny in seed form. Seeds can produce nothing unless they are submitted to the ground. You can pray for those seeds to produce fruit but God will lovingly ignore you because He understands that ground coffee is better than instant coffee. Process is the prelude to success. Culture celebrates and promises instant success - to make the distant success an instant success. It promises the shortcut but the truth is, seeds that are pulled out prematurely won’t only not product fruit; they’ll die.

Grounded seed is better than instant seed. One is birthed in INTIMACY whereas the other relies on IMMEDIACY. Instant success is a myth and an anomaly that the enemy of our souls wants you to buy into. Stay grounded in this season of your life and master the art of holding firm your dreams that are being processed and the destiny you’re about to step into. Transition and process cause too many people to forfeit their destiny but stay grounded and you’ll enjoy the journey!
